MFS Ammunition 223 Remington 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Zinc Plated Steel Case. 500 RDS PER CASE

This stuff is great! I bought 500 rounds and went through all 500 straight with absolutely no issue aside from not having ordered enough. The gun was no dirty than using any other round (RRA 24" upper on S&W M&P15 lower). 1/4" groups at 100 yards using a bipod and a $200 scope.

Now, I did run into an issue that others may want to check before ordering. This is bi-metal, so if you have a range that uses rubber backstops they almost always will NOT let you use these rounds because it is possible to spark and start a fire (how? I have no idea, I fired 20 rounds without telling them and had no issue). Outside ranges should not have any kind of regulation on that. Just call ahead.

Overall a great product (even if Tul-Ammo is about the same price or less after shipping at Wal-Mart). Most likely will buy again. (Posted on 9/29/11)

Shot 150 thru my SIG 556, 4 different mag types. magPul, USGI, etc.. Outstanding performance, no FTF or ejection problems. Nice groups out to 400 yards using a CMR scope and rest. Worth every penny but as with all steel cased ammo except it to be a little dirty in the chamber because of the slower expansion rate of the cases compared to brass. Great ammo. I shot very well. I shot both Lake ammo and this one, and I can tell you that Lake ammo performance was not very impressive compare to this one. The only problem I had with is so far is I didn't buy enough. (Posted on 6/17/11)

I gotta admit, at first I was a bit skeptical. 500 rounds of 55gr .223 shipped to my door for under $130?? I soon found that it was true. I went through about 400 of the 500rds that I purchased without my rifle having any type of failure (Spikes lower/JD upper/DPMS barrel). I've had more problems with Federal's 100rd value box at Wal-Mart, and at double the price! Next time I'm ordering at least 1000rds. By the way, the ammo comes in 20 rd boxes. So keep that in mind, you'll have to unpack them all to have them 'bulk'. (Posted on 6/16/11)

If you havent ordered at least 1000rds of this stuff, you are missing the boat. This is great shooting ammo. It is a step above Wolf polymer coated.

At first when looking at this MFS .223 ammo I saw the made in Russia part and was A little worried. well Im here to tell you that you have nothing to worry about when buying this ammo. As I tested it today in my bushmaster Ar-15. It performed a lot better then I thought it would have. Not jamming or miss firing I would recommended it. My only regret is that I only got 500 rounds buy all you can you wont be sorry (Posted on 2/9/11)

I just got some of the MFS .223 ammo today and tried it out boy was it great. Shot well in my bushmaster AR-15 absolutely no jamming or any problems with it what so ever. Only regret so far is that I wish I would have got the 1000 rounds. with the price of this .223 ammo you can not go wrong buy all you can afford. (Posted on 2/9/11)
