Federal XM855LC1 AC1 NATO 5.56x45mm 62 grain FMJ Ball. Lake City Arsenal
Manufactured at Lake City arsenal, this non-corrosive, steel-core FMJ ammunition comes pre-loaded on 10-round stripper clips. Three loaded stripper clips are bundled in 30-round cardboard boxes. Stripper-clip guide is included for loading AR-15 magazines. 420 rounds are packaged in a brand-new, watertight, gasket-sealed .30-cal. ammo can (10"L x 3"W x 6-7/8"H), a $18.95 value.

Note: While, .223 and 5.56x45 ammo are interchangeable, the 5.56 may be loaded at higher pressures than .223. SAAMI warns not to use 5.56 ammo in sporter 223 rifles.

Quality Price Value This is good ammo, hard hitting. It will penetrate 5/16 mild steel plate. I have purchased 0ver 10 cans. Some is marked {not for duty use} but I cannot tell any difference between the two. (Posted on 2/24/12)
